Someone works very hard and the benefit he gets, does nothing in this life that he can take with him. It all stays here. So therefore, in performing all his activities he doesn't know what his real duty in life is. He's not interested in self-realization. The idea is that if you have more you enjoy more, so if you have more you can't use it. Therefore, be happy with what you can use.
Whatever results one has, one should be satisfied with it. The idea is that if I work harder I'll be happier. But the thing is… is all you do is get more tired. So this idea, that in the material world by working harder I will benefit more, is just an illusion.
That is just the way it is.
